Eaglets Outreach Academy, Inc. is recognized as a 501c3, non-profit organization. EOA was founded on April 27, 2015 by Malani Gaines. EOA was created to provide fundamental resources and tools to young teenage mothers.

Malani was born on November 25, 1985, in Birmingham, Alabama. At the age of 13 years old, she came under the full custody of her father while her mother was struggling with addictions. Growing up in a household with only her father left her emotionally empty in many ways. By 17 years old, she conceived her first child.

Upon graduating high school in 2004, she enlisted in the United States Army where she met her husband. At the age of 21, Malani conceived her second child. The marriage was short-lived. As time passed, she realized that something in her life was missing. She believes that God instructed her to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia in 2013, so she went.
After about one year in Georgia, she became homeless, which left her feeling confused and uncertain about her transition to Georgia. Malani contacted the Department of Veteran Affairs and was referred to Mary Hall Freedom House, a homeless transitional program for veterans and their children. She enrolled in the program which provided a comfortable and peaceful environment that allowed her to regain her strength and stability.

In addition to Mary Hall Freedom House, she was connected to Every Woman Works whose mission is to “move women from dependency to self-sufficiency,” by providing spiritual empowerment, individual coaching, job training, life skills, mentoring, and career development. These programs were valuable during a detrimental time in her life.
These programs instilled a positive influence in her. She was hired at SunTrust Bank and recognized as one of the top performers in her area. After working in banking for 3 years, she transitioned to a new career as a Licensed Insurance Agent. It did not take her long to know insurance was a perfect fit for her. She is now a Licensed Insurance Agent in the states of Georgia and Alabama and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

She hopes that Eaglets Outreach Academy, Inc. will serve as a life-changing support organization and experience for women worldwide.
